Dear Diary,
I did 30 minutes of Helix today. I tried one of the Hard songs this time. And "tried" is definitely the word for what happened. I didn't get very far at all before I got completely lost and couldn't keep up. I didn't even finish half the song. Sad I think I'll keep trying to get perfect on all the Medium songs and then I'll attempt hard again. I think once I get use to the pace it might make it easier... Maybe.

Dear Diary,
I did 30 minutes of Wii Fit today. I was planning on doing the usual 45 minutes to an hour, but I ended up playing my new video game de Blob for an hour and 30 minutes instead of just 45 minutes to an hour. That cut into my exercise time.

I decided that since I played my game too long I better make my exercise count so I actually did the island run today. I think it was over 15 minutes of just running. Oh my was that brutal. I'm pretty out of shape and I was having trouble before getting too far into it. I did take several breaks in the middle of it just to catch my breath.

At the end it told me I unlocked the free run. I think I've unlocked all the aerobic exercises and balance games but not necessarily all the levels yet. I don't do the strength training and yoga enough to unlock all of those.

Dear Diary,
My Fitness Coach arrived today so I spent my exercise time setting up my profile. I tell you though, doing the profile was basically like doing a exercise routine anyway. Smile

I messed up the jumping jacks a little bit though. I did the jumping jacks and ended it early since I was having trouble. However I forget to select the "count" selection to start the timer for my heart rate so I had to do the jumping jacks again so I could correctly record my heart rate. Embarassed

I liked the fact that it recommended that I focus on cardio since that is what I was thinking I should do. It also basically set up almost the exact same schedule that I've been doing lately. The only thing I changed was to have Wednesday off instead of Tuesday.

Anyway, I think I'll try it as my main exercise routine for the time being to see how it goes (and to unlock stuff Smile) and then I'll decide after that if I'll go back to Helix and Wii Fit for at least some of the days.

Dear Diary,
I did My Fitness Coach for 30 minutes today.

Well, this is my first real exercise session with Maya today. I think I still have to do some adjustments to get the right level of difficulty. I had trouble keeping up with the warm up exercises so I decreased the difficulty but then I found that the upper body exercises she had me do after that were too easy... well, the exercises themselves weren't that easy but there were plenty of breaks which made them easy.

Dear Diary,
I did My Fitness Coach for 30 minutes today.

Alright, I've made it through my second session with Maya. Now that I know the first 10 minutes are suppose to be all this cardio stuff with kicks, v-step, etc. I felt a little better about it and just powered through it.

The rest of the session was suppose to be core body exercises. I tell you what, if I have to do one more crunch I'm either going to kill myself or Maya. I hate crunches! I was so happy to see the superman pose even though I didn't know what it was just because it wasn't another set of crunches! I'll have to see how the other sessions go. If she keeps having me do crunches for almost the whole session I'll probably start improvising and doing other exercises for abs that I learned from the fitness DVDs I have.

Dear Diary,
I did 30 minutes of My Fitness Coach today.

The 10 minute cardio warmup is still a little too much on the difficult side for me. I was definitely taking quite a few unofficial breaks there so when Maya asked me how it was I told her I couldn't keep up. Hopefully next time won't be as hard. I had lower body strengthening for the other 20 minutes and that was fine; neither too easy or too hard.

Maybe one of these days I'll get the difficulty right for all of it. I don't know though, FitMonkey still seems to have trouble getting the difficulty right even though he's had it for a while. Wink

I did 30 minutes of My Fitness Coach today. Focus for the day was upper body. I had an easier time keeping up with the 10 minute cardio warm-up this time. I think Maya has made it easier now which is good. It's challenging but not over-whelming.

I think I have the cardio warmup right where I want it. It isn't easy to do, but it's not so hard that I'm just watching the screen because I can't keep up.

I'm really liking My Fitness Coach. I really feel like I'm getting a good workout but it's been different enough that I'm not getting bored yet. We'll see though. It doesn't seem to take much to get me bored so the fact it's been two weeks and it still is keeping me interested is good.

Well, maybe I should have done more with Wii Fit. Smile Not only am I finding that I'm not very flexible (which I knew already), I apparently don't have very good balance either. Maya had me do the tree pose today and I was having a heck of a time staying on the one foot in the pose.
