I've gutted the house of all things white. Hit the grocery store and purchased whole grain rice for my spiffy new Panasonic Rice Maker that has a GABA rice setting. I've never been able to make decent brown rice in my el cheapo rice maker, nor on the stove top, we LOVE the Panasonic rice maker as it makes porridge, oatmeal and of course, rice! Also purchased whole grain pastas, whole grain couscous and whole grain pita pockets.

I started weight watchers last month. Not all recipes ...

Picked this up yesterday (hottest party 2, which comes with the mat). Wow I totally suck at this. Was still fun though, I already knew that I have little coordination. Burned 131 calories in 34 min according to my heart rate monitor which is low compared to aerobic activities on the wii fit or my fitness coach, but I was on the very basic setting trying to learn the steps, I could see it being a pretty good workout if you were on a faster level and not tripping over yourself.

Dear Diary,

It's now less than five months before I turn thirty years old. THIRTY YEARS OLD!?!?! Can you believe it? It's amazing how fast time has flown now that I've been out of school for a while.

Since I've been approaching such a milestone, I've been thinking about getting healthier for a while now. I've never been overweight by anyone's definition (except maybe Hollywood's ), but I don't really feel healthy. It doesn't take very long for me to be out of breath or to get tired ...

I'm just a 44 year old guy from Montreal, Quebec who feels fantastic. I purchased the Wii Fit as a Christmas gift for my wife, but later found out it was for me too. I started using the Fit in Mid January at the beginning weight of 193lbs. After carefully watching what I eat and a daily 1 hour Wii Fit workout 7 days a week I have lost, as of today, a total of 25lbs.(168lbs.). I still have 13lbs. to go for my goal of weighing 155lbs., but have no doubts that I'll reach it. I have so much more ...

So, with that thought, what are your favorite Wii games?

Currently I'm playing de Blob which I think is a cute, innovative 3d platformer and am really enjoying a lot. I like it a lot better than Super Mario Galaxy which is kind of similar. I also really liked the Art Style games on WiiWare especially Rotohex. ...

After taking the time during the holidays to examine the Fit I decided to get on the band wagon and give it a try. I decided in mid January to closely watch what I eat and to workout 1 hour everyday using the Wii Fit. The decision I made changed my life dramatically.
I've noticed that on the instructions booklet, on page 5, there is a screenshot of "Daily Focus" that includes a tab for pilates. However, this option is not available on the game itself. I contacted Ubisoft Support, and they state that there is no glitch or any kind of problem with the game and that I should search in the fan led websites for a response on this gameplay issue. Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy in the manual?

Difficulty with Plie Moves on My Fitness Coach

For all of you that have Wii My Fitness Coach, can you do the proper form when doing the exercises with a Plie?

Granted, I'm about as flexible as a block of concrete, but I can't get anywhere close to doing a plie like Maya does them on screen. If my legs are as far apart as they should be, I can't get down very far. In order to bend my knees enough, I have to put legs a lot closer together. As a result, my plies just wind up looking like regular old squats.

Can you do them?

To the women members of the forum:

I was setting up my profile for My Fitness Coach the other day and it was asking me to take several different measurements of my body. Okay, fine. I got a little confused when we got to the chest measurement though. I wasn't sure if I should measure across my chest (like I would for shirt or cup size) or underneath ...

My first goal is to lose 26 pounds in the first 2 months which should lower my BMI to near 31 maybe--then put in another goal.

Thus Far: I received my Wii Fit for my birthday and started using it on January 28th. Through today I have over 7 hours of training. My weight is hard to say at this point because I didn't have the boots (or whatever they call them) on the first time I weighed in, but my guess is I have lost about 7 pounds, not helped ...

I tried to switch activities (Free Step, the dance step, etc.) but with little success. Free step only recorded about 15-20%. I thought it might be the batteries, so I put knew ones in, but it didn't improve. Any suggestions?

Lady Gryphon's suggestions:

Once I got used to the new height I added 3lbs. weights to the free step routine for 30 minutes. I perform arm curls with the weights each time I step onto the Fit.
Have you got a 100 score on any Yoga poses?

The only ones I've been able to get a 100 on so far are the Warrior pose & deep breathing. I've come real close, either 98 or 99 on these: Downward-facing Dog, Standing Knee, Sun Salutation, & the Triangle. For some the reason I'm really determined to better my score on the Chair pose. My highest is 92 & it really frustrates me that I can't do any better than that! How's everybody else doing on their Yoga?

I am the mother of 4. When my boys were younger I ran here, there and everywhere. Now that they are young men, I don't have to run as much or cook as much. My lifestlye changed. I began to eat more takeout and snack a bit more. On a recent visit to the doctor he stated that I needed to exercise and lose about thirty pounds. I threw money away by getting a gym membership. I went a couple of times and that was it.

One of my sons who is into fitness and sports bought me a Wii Console for Xmas. ...

OUCH!!!

Saw a segment on the news today about Wii users getting hurt by overdoing it and having to go to doctors and chiropracters. So I did a search and came up with these other "Ouch" moments! One of the links has a story about a woman almost killing her dog - saw that one on the news and thankfully the dog ends up being okay. I had one minor mishap myself while playing Samba De Amigo. I was swinging my arms up and down doing a side movement and I accidentally whacked one of my hands ...
